NZ's startup ecosystems need to be geographically concentrated & nationally connected.

Activities

We are developing a community for NZ businesses learning and developing AI applications. We have a DB of 2k on email and 5k on social currently. We developing events, workshops and online resource sharing to connect, inspire and activate companies to invest in AI development

Impact

We have run 2 years of monthly events 2016-2018, hosted ai-day the largest AI events in NZ

NZ needs a coordinated national entrepreneurship plan

Activities

We are working to engage the private sector including businesses, universities and GOVT organisations to support the newzeaand.ai program to create a coordinated education and development program for AI development

Impact

Many corporate sponsorships and partnerships working together. Re-starting the program now in 2020

NZ needs corporate participation in the startup ecosystem

Activities

We need collaboration from corporates, technology platforms, vendors, service providers, universities to invest in private sector initiatives to accelerate AI development and grow the AI economy in NZ. Through more AI development we grow the entire TECH and innovation sector

Impact

Working on partnerships in 2020 to form a new program of work.
