With over 40 years experience in the industrial manufacturing, software technology, and telecommunications markets, Chip has held numerous senior management roles, including executive vice-president, Chairman of the Board, executive director, and national sales manager positions with Apple Computer Corporation, Telecom New Zealand Ltd., Digital Equipment Corporation, SnapComms, Exicom International Corporation, CLEAR Communications, and Hitachi Data Systems, in New Zealand, USA, Asia, and the UK.

Impact

International Launches, Trade Sales, Mergers, Acquisitions, in country introductions, and capital raise. He has been the President and Chairman of the NZ Software Association; Co-Chairman of ICT New Zealand; Chairman and President of Baseball NZ, Board member to Accelerating Auckland; President and Chairman of Mecca Group; Executive Director for EmbeddedFusion, Director of AintoG, Director of IP Markets, a Board Advisor for Watchdog Corporation, Director of Voola Software, and presenter for Lexus-Nexus, and facilitator for the Technology World NZ Conference, and Convergence 2007.

NZ startups need tech-savvy talent

Activities

Chip has sat on the advisory boards for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise for the Beachheads Project, Biotech Cluster, IT Cluster, and UCLA Graduate School of Business project. Chip has been an advisor to the ICEHOUSE and Strategic School of Business at University of Auckland on the 321Go-Global project.

He has been an advisor to the Hi-Growth ICT government initiative, and Committee for Auckland Australasian Access for USA and Asia Expansion. He is also a senior board member for the University of Auckland’s Computer Science and Engineering Schools.

Impact

Growth in numerous tech companies from the connections, coaching, and internal advice to the founders, developers, and management teams.

Activities

With a commitment to motivation and teamwork, Chip has been the Acting CEO for Spider Tracks, Director of Online Advancement Solutions (OAS) Limited, Director for Primesoft, Executive Director for Comteq Solutions Ltd, CEO for Flow Software Ltd., and is a senior management advisor to over 70 early stage growth companies. He has been a private investor in twelve businesses.

Impact

I have worked with hundreds of startups, and founders to guide them to success. The key is their commitment to the business, to raise capital, promote and actively sell their name, brand, and products globally.
