Working towards the following goals

Activities & Impact

Read more about Invented Again's specific activities towards the goals and the impact they have achieved so far below.

01

NZ's startup ecosystems need to be geographically concentrated & nationally connected.

Activities

We are lobbying for a consistent, centralised, required "competitive landscape analysis" at the front of the "Innovation Pipeline".

Impact

We are new, but we have started reaching an increasing number of listeners on our Podcast to gather support for this goal. We are also in the process of registering as a not-for-profit to show that we are committed to making a change in the way we do things as a country for the benefit of everyone, not for our own commercial benefit.

02

NZ needs a coordinated national entrepreneurship plan

Activities

Entrepreneurs must adhere to certain principles and held to a high standard of rigour and transparency. We want to help shape the standards, including contributing to a curriculum.

Impact

We have created and tested a Charter and refined our Principles, which are available publicly on our website. We are in the process of creating a very basic curriculum from our content that enables speakers and mentors to be more focused in their efforts when engaging with an individual or a group by setting "prerequisites" and/or knowing what level of understanding is already there in the audience.

04

NZ's startups need access to world-class expertise

Activities

The cheapest way to access world-class expertise is to gather everything that has ever been disclosed about any idea, thereby acquiring the learning of all the experts who have ever worked on it for free or at very low cost.

Impact

Many companies have engaged Kristian to help them access the global stock of knowledge (in the form of patents, articles, papers, videos, publications, etc) through very inexpensive searches. This has allowed some to avoid poor opportunities, and allowed others to proceed with the confidence that they have freedom to operate. All of them have a clearer picture of what they are getting into by helping them access the expensive and hard-won wisdom of experts all of the world.

I have had many startup failures and most recently a resounding success (Automio) in my field (software), and my expertise in researching and creating technology solutions combined with my ability to understand users helps me to help others cut to the heart of the opportunity represented by an idea.

07

NZ needs to reduce the cost of doing business with the rest of the world

Activities

The most effective way to lower the cost of doing business is to lower the investment burden of Innovation, and to skip straight to exploitation of existing IP wherever possible.

Impact

The impact on this Goal 7 is closely related to Goal 4 - by leveraging the work of others, we can help identify those opportunities where we can create an unfair advantage, and by preventing duplication we can ensure that this advantage lasts as long as it possibly can.
